Halifax's News Clothing Company

24 twenty eight is a new clothing, accessory and lifestyle boutique in downtown Halifax. The store is a collaboration between Lee Fraser and Logan Hudak, two well established DJ's, producers, promoters and men about town. With a prime location in the heart of the downtown core of Halifax at the corner of Sackville and Granville streets 24 twenty eight is carrying some world class labels and searching out unique and fashion forward clothing for the tastefull consumer at an affordable price point.

We will be running little locals sales and contests through this page with secret words, and different prizes for those who come in and mention the word.

We are also planning a barrage of opening events, from a runway show this saturday in Parade square, to a boat cruise onthe harbour queen, involvement with the DJO's and several club parties through out the city.

If there are any labels you like that you think would work well in the city and you would buy, please feel free to send us suggestions as well, we would love to hear from you!

Analogical: The multimedia label launching in 2011

In the Spring of 2011 [mid raid] myself and a few other insanely talented people are going to be launching a Multimedia label on PEI. This has been in the works for a long while now, and we are making some great breakthroughs to provide everyone involved a fantastic experience.

There are a few things I will outline that make this label special.

1. We are going to be providing a one stop shop for all of our artists. We have graphic designers, photographers, a mastering engineer, promotion, distribution, and we will be providing bookings for all of our artists. In 2011 we have to face it, competition is as fierce as ever in the music industry, so we have made sure that Analogical is equipped with very talented people to support everyone involved. The artists that come to us should only worry about one thing, and that is making music, we will take care of the rest.

We will be offering options:

Exclusive and Non Exclusive Contracts with benefits to each. If an artist is a good fit for our label, they will get every benefit mentioned before, they simply make music and we worry about getting them gigs, creating a buzz, getting them into stores, and selling records. We can also work on a project by project basis, if an artist needs a demo created we can do it. If they only need some promo and booking work done, we can do that as well. In effect, we aren't simply a label, we are an active member of the music scene....here to help any talented musicians get to where they want to be.

2. At Analogical, we are going to be socially conscious. Three years from now, we want to be involved in many aspects of Island life. From creating new events, to providing education for youth. We have many plans in the works to help local youth learn the benefits of music and we want to be the ones to do it. We will be contributing to many projects in the future because we believe that with success comes responsibility, we will give back to the community to the best of our ability.

3. We fully intend on pushing local music to the world. Many involved in this project come from strong musical backgrounds, with a few of us building portfolios across Canada. If an artist has a potential fan base in Toronto, we will get them there. In 5 years time, we want to have put our fair share of time into building a larger and richer scene on the East Coast and beyond.

To sum everything up, we are talented, passionate, dedicated people that love music. We want to help anyone that feels the same way to reach their goals and dreams in the music industry. We are going to be around for a very long time, and we hope to develop a reputation for solid music, solid media, and for giving back to our community.

What I haven't spoken too much about is the "Multimedia" aspect of the label. Not only are we going to be working with music...but we want to work with artists in the community. Photographers, Painters, Poets, Sculptors..If it is good, we want to help. From booking galleries to promoting local artists we will be there.

Thank you for your time,

Stefan.
